Today, we find Geek Boy crossing paths with a group of female classmates at the bus stop. Although Geek Boy has been situations like this before, it's been a while for him and he finds it particularly intriguing to once again come in contact with feminine culture. Geek Boy is not currently in a relationship, and has never actually been in one. For whatever reason, Geek Boy never appears to encounter the sensation called love.

After a couple minutes, two more girls arrived at the bus stop. We four were the only ones there, and we all knew each other fairly well. I didn't have much else to say (boys are boring, right?), so I let them start talking among themselves. The conversation shifted to the topic of our upcoming high school prom, and that's when it started getting particularly entertaining.
It happened quite suddenly. The first girl randomly announced that she was going shoe shopping at the mall after her internship and did either of them want to go with her. The other two immediately and excitedly answered yes but oh wait I'm busy with such-and-such later so nevermind. The quantity and complexity of their conversation was stunning. They started discussing the colors of their dresses, whether they had purchased flowers for their dates, how it would have been super embarrassing for the guy if the girls were wearing heels that were too tall (I'm pretty sure that was just to make me feel bad - I'm short), and much more. Before I knew it, the third girl was on the phone with her hair salon scheduling an appointment for their full prom package and who-knows-what and I swear it was within ten seconds that she was off the phone again.
If I've learned anything from this experience with feminine culture, it's that I now truly know that I really need to pay attention if I ever find a girlfriend.
